evergreens which are valuable for accent and for specimen purposes.They should be planted on the open lawn or where there is amplespace for them to develop their natural habit of growth. Evergreensfrom this list, and the low-growing types of a more informal characterfrom Groups IX-A and IX-B should be selected for the refined massplantings of evergreens as illustrated in Figure I Plate XL
