B. Perennials According to Colour and Season. This, withits sub-groups, is an interesting group. The division of seasons inthese groups is merely relative and is made for the purpose of obtainingsome relationship in the succession of bloom throughout the growingseason. Many perennials in these groups lap over from one groupinto the other, but for convenience of reference they are listed onlyin the season during which they are at their height of bloom. Thesubdivisions into colours of flowers, as a matter of easy reference, willprove valuable as a check on one's memory and a saving of time inbeing able to readily select flowers for varying colour effects at differ-ent seasons.
